Community project-Painting an orphanage

Another great effort by the CSE which is to paint a newly built orphanage house in Watareka.The true spirit and the unity shown by the colleagues were admirable.And Head of the department Ms. Vishaka Nanyakkara and other lecturers who motivated and gudied us towards this type of a project should possess the credit.It was an great success at the end of the day and made us over the moon when we recall the great work done.!!!

There was a rock and temple in front of that and we climbed it in the afternoon.There i captutured a nice scene which i was truly amazed the beauty of it

It was truly amazing to feel that experience..Even though i had such an experience before the way our seniors did was superb.I really feel proud to say i am from Computer Science & Engineering department which has the capabilities and resources to conduct a well planned event like this..

We were assigned to groups with kingdoms and countries so we had to compete with each other to get our currency appreciated. And the "treasure hunt" gave lots of troubles 'cos we had to run all over the university and find the treasures that were hidden we were provided with 3G enabled mobile phones so technology played a role there..

And still no words to thank all the people(ayyas an akkas of senior batches) to placing a wonderful memory in our life............!!!

Last week i went on a trip to Sigiriya which was a kingdom in ancient Sri Lanka.It was a trip organized by our department of Computer science.Although I have visited sigiriya when i was in the school yet aain there is a lot to see and be facinated.It was a giant and a truely inspiring castle and it reflects the engineering as well as artistic capabilities of our srilankans those who live d then.

The Castle of the King kashyapa was on the top of the rock.It is a miracle how the water is pumped to that hieght.there are water pipe lines visible and they were activated few years bak due to heavy rain.

When i was in the top of the rock i was able to how the rain comes from far away.It was so stromy in the top and difficult to bear it even.But there were palces to get aviod being wet belive me they were all built naturally.

Oh yeah.....we are getting the things we wanted...!!

We have been given the necessary parts for our project and it seems interesting to build up the remote control car.If i have jump into a new topic without any prior notice please pardon me.!!

We are having a project called formula CSE and we have to come up with a remote control car after programming a pic and mounting it to the car with a camera.....It sound really interesting but it alarms about hard working days as i have to learn those things from the beginning.

Today is a remarkable day for me.Since i do not have a desktop computer at home i cannot remove what is inside in my laptop and see how stuff works.I have read lots of books and articles on hardware and how to upgrade a computer but today i did it physically.Wow at the end it worked well.The problem was not with me but it was a pentium 3 processor so had to so long to install the OS.

Anyway the person who assisted us on this was really kind enough to give us a fair knowledge.So now i am confident enough to assemble a pc on my own.

I am sailing to discover a new island..!!

Since childhood i have a great passion about things doing in front of a computer.Even though i am not an expert i have a sound knowledge on computer related thing because i used to read whatever on computer.Most of the things i learned was purely my effort but here after there will be lots of people to help me out.Because now as my sisters and bothers from senior batch said we belong to "CSE family" it sounds interesting to me.I am looking forward to work hard and i have got an opportunity to prove the great belief that "you are capable of doing anything if you have the correct attitude and passion"

So here is the first step towards a big journey......

i am sailing my ship of life discovering a new island......!!!
